What a Difference a Year Makes

I'm sitting in my office at the Friends School doing attendance for the day and I look up to see the third grade classes gathering in the hall to practice the song they're about to perform for Granparents Day.  I'm serenaded by the beauty of children's voices singing these sweet words...what a change from the crass atmosphere at Campbell Soup!

"Each of us has a light we cannot hide,
A flash, a spark, a brilliance it's true
Each of us has a light shining through!

Each of us has a love burning inside,
Each of us has a love we cannot hide.
A wish, a dream we want to come true.
Each of us has a love burning through!
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine,
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine,
A flash, a spark, a brilliance it's true
Each of us has a light, shining through!"
