How Many More?

I was browsing the www.philly.com website which is the "Philadelphia Inquirer"'s main site, and came across this article. It shows the pictures of all the men and women from the Philly area who have given their lives in the war since September 1st. That's this month. And there are 57 of them. Just from this area alone. What really struck me was their ages. So often I think about the people dying as "our boys", young 18 and 20 year olds...but so many are in their late 30's and 40's. The sacrifice these people and their families are making is mind-blowing.

I thought things were too quiet this year on the anniversary of the attack on September 11. It's good to be reminded of the price that our country is paying so quietly on a daily basis. Check out this link and remember...
