We're Back!

We're back in Camden after a quick weekend home to Boston. We had a great time visiting with family. In case you're reading this post and thinking how sad or offended you are that we didn't make plans to see you this weekend too, here's how busy the weekend was:

Friday: Left work at 1:00 and hit the road, got into Lynn at 8:45. Lots of traffic in CT, the worst state to drive through. Hung out at my sister's house with sister Debby (later Missy and J came home), went to bed late.

Saturday: Woke up, played with the nephews, participated in family hair cut day, M&J went to his parents' house, we had lunch with our dear friend Val at the
"Gulu-Gulu Cafe" in Lynn, then went to Debby's new condo in Cambridge, ran an errand, made dinner, then drove to Gloucester to see Jason Harrod in concert (who was fabulous as usual), then got back to Lynn at 11.

Sunday: Woke up and drove to Wellesley to cheer J on as he rode in the PanMass Challenge to raise money for the Jimmy Fund ( he rode 50 miles today and is working on finishing raising $1000. If you'd like to donate, see their blog, www.teamwinchell.blogspot.com), then drove to Princeton for cousin Curt & Tiffany's baby shower/going away party as they're moving to Idaho this week, then hit the road for Camden. (Also realized in a panic that we forgot to call JKT and Ann on Saturday night. We're terrible friends.)

So it was just a crazy weekend, and we wish we could have seen everyoe, but frankly, it was nice just to have some focused time with a few people and not have to run around too much more.

We're back to work tomorrow, this week is Mike's last week of summer camp, then he has about three weeks off before his new interns arrive. ASP doesn't start until Sept. 24 I just found out, so he has lots of prep time. We're looking forward to family coming down to visit during his time off.

I'm off to finish laundry and head to bed. Tomorrow night will be spent learning how to use LotusNotes for my new position at Campbell's!
Good night!
