It's been a few days since I've posted on behalf of Michael and I...I don't have a computer at work never mind Internet access (and, of course, wouldn't DARE to spend time doing personal online tasks while at work!), so it's difficult to stay in touch right now. Excuses excuses.
Just a super quick update:
We signed the lease on our new apartment tonight! We're so excited about the place, it's really nice, and the landlords have been fastidious in getting it ready for us, we're so excited to have good landlords, finally! We'll move in on August 7th or so due to our schedules and happenings at UrbanPromise this month. I can't wait to get settled, hang pictures, and feel at home. Mike said today that it feels like we're making a new start, and it really does in so many ways. We both have felt a weight lift off our shoulders since we've moved here; our marriage is lighter and deeper and full of laughter and good talks; our attitudes are better; our jobs are much more enjoyable and fulfilling; we've met so many great new people and have forged some wonderful friendships already; we're reconnecting with friends from the past...things are just falling into place and we feel good about the new beginnings.
Unfortunetly, I must run...I have a burger sitting next to me getting cold and I can't eat it in the student computer lab, and after the day I've had I'm not too proud to say that food is more important than updating this blog right now. Please don't be offended. Or be. I don't care. I'm hungry. :-)
