We took Matt and Ginny on a driving tour of Camden and got ourselves pretty lost. Plus our air conditioning needs to be recharged, so it wasn't all that much fun. But G got some good pics at least!
Rowhouses like these are typical housing in this area.
This is the nice area of Camden, near the waterfront (Delaware river). We were looking at apartments in this area but rent is comparable to Boston prices. Crazy!
Itty bitty picture..Campbell's Soup has their World HQ here and I'm trying to score myself a job there! They're located right in Camden.
This is Mike's camp site...where he's running his summer camp and will run his afterschool programs from this fall. It's a building owned by a local church that allows UrbanPromise to use it. It's located in South Camden and actually is turning out to be a great site (despite the feces running through the streets and the smell from the waste treatment plant nearby). The building has central air and plenty of room for his 40 5th-8th grade kids and 15 staff members. It's also located right next to a park which is handy for games and basketball practice.
