My Meemaw

I just got an email from my Dad in Kansas saying that our Meemaw (his mom and our grandmom) was just diagnosed with pneumonia and has been admitted to the local hospital in Pratt. She's in her 93rd year of life and has been struggling recently with her ability to breathe and diabetes. Please pray with us for God's will to be done, whether that's healing or whether it's her time to go home. And pray that we girls are able to make it out to Kansas if it's the latter. We love her dearly and though distance is a poor excuse, we just haven't all been out to see her often. (Though the Winchells just made it out last week!) (Here she is pictured with my sister Melissa and her boys Orilus and Jackson just about a week or so ago in Kansas and above with her son, my Dad, outside her house, looking happy to have family so close!)

To God be the glory for her wonderful life so far, and may He choose to extend it even longer so that she may continue to be a blessing and testament to others.

Hey Kelly,

First, thanks for all of your messages! It's great knowing you're reading!

I haven't heard anything about Meemaw since Saturday, she was still in the ICU and seemed to be making a recovery. Dad said the phlegm in her lungs was starting to clear up by her coughing, but that that was making it more difficult for her to breathe. Her diabetes numbers have come back down, so that's a good thing.

I'll keep you posted!
